EXPLORING NIKKOR LENSES: AF-S VR MICRO-NIKKOR 105MM F/2.8G IF-ED

Updated: Jan 16, 2019

The art of crafting traditional Mongolian boots dates back to pre-1578. To withstand the harsh climates of Mongolia, the boots are made out of ‘buligar’, a thick unbending leather. These boots are also decorated with intricate leather appliqués, making them unique and distinguished. Using the AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, professional Nikon photographer Scott A. Woodward and photography enthusiast Chantal Windley were able to photograph fine details of a Mongolian cobbler couple’s craftsmanship.

The AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED is a medium telephoto macro lens that delivers incredibly detailed images. Its maximum reproduction ratio of 1:1 will allow you to capture subjects that are true to life in size. With a maximum aperture of f/2.8, this lens is able to isolate your subject against a beautifully blurred background.

Every movement is exaggerated in macro photography. The lens comes with a built-in Vibration Reduction (VR) system that improves stability caused by camera shake. This lets you achieve stunningly sharp images even when shooting handheld or in low lighting conditions.

Capture all the nuances in your macro shots with the AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED.
