Kohukohu Wharf

Taken on a New Zealand Photography Workshops long exposure weekend, this was the fourth wharf we’d visited that day. A couple of fishermen were just packing up above so I headed under the wharf as close to the water as the muddy rocks would allow. I love how getting way down low under the wharf increases its grandeur whilst enabling me to centre the image on the distant waterline. Conversion to black and white isn’t something I usually do but I found it really enhanced the impact of the slow moving cloud.
